Mega Contest: MegaSunflora

This is my entry for contest in which we have to design our own mega evolution for any Pokémon.  I Choose Sunflora because sunflowers are my favorite flower and Grass Type are my favorite type of Pokémon.


I wanted to make it quite simple, just bigger head/petals and bigger leaf-like arms. New couple of leaves also grew on its back allowing it to fly for a shor amount of time.

So these are the changes.


Type:

Grass - Flying

Stats increased:

Sp. Attack and Speed


Stats decreased:

Defense and Sp Defense.

Anything else remains unchanged.


Description:

The bigger flower-like head is bigger so it can absorb even more energy from the sun making its grass power way stronger. And the bigger leaves allow it to use Flying type attacks and increases its speed.


New ability:

Reserve

This new ability allows Sunflora to save sun power and use it whenever it wants, even during nights. That means its grass type attack will work just like there was Sunny Day on effect, including using Solar Beam without waiting a whole turn for it. And not only that, it also allows it to use some Fire Attacks as well so it can counter Ice Pokémon.
